When James and his wife, Debra, had the chance to purchase this cherished campground from Mr. Kirby, they didn’t just acquire a property—they found a place that resonated with their hearts, a true home.
For James, camping was never defined by RV sites or cabins; it was always about the people.
If you forgot something during your family camping trip, James would go out of his way to help you out.
Need a fishing pole? He had one ready. Need crickets for bait? He’d find some for you. Often, he would even cook dinner for guests or sit around the campfire, sharing stories long after the sun sank beneath the horizon.
Children were always welcome, and witnessing families making memories at Turkey Quarter Campground was one of his greatest joys.
